The "Why" Behind the Bold and Brave Life
Hi Friends! Before you get too far into exploring the blog I wanted to let you know the inspiration that led to the “why” of this blog.
If you are wondering if this will be another lifestyle blog where all you see is cute outfits and pretty things, the answer is no, but don’t get me wrong, I LOVE those kind of blogs! The true purpose of this blog is to inspire everyone that comes across it to make bold decisions for good, even when it’s difficult, to encourage you to chase your dreams, and to help you live a life filled with joy and satisfaction. Of course I’ll share new products I like, a cute outfit here and there, or a fun product review, but the point of this blog is to help others see their worth and help you to truly believe in yourself.
I’m no life guru, nor do I have all the answers, but we all have a story and this is where and how I want to share mine, just as I hope you bravely share your story one day.
I got the notion to name the blog “Bold and Brave Life” for a few various reasons. The first reason are the women in my family, who all have very bold and vibrant personalities. Each of us boldly state our opinions and we will always bravely stand for what we believe in, even if those beliefs comes with a cost. We weren’t blessed with these gifts solely to protect ourselves, but to serve others as well, and that’s why we will always stand up for those that aren’t as brave as we are so that their voices are heard, too.
The second reason I chose this name is due to the men in my life that have served or are serving our great country. My brother, uncle, cousin, and paw-paw have all been in the military and each one of them have boldly taken it upon themselves to serve and protect our nation. They have bravely risked their lives so that we can boldly live out our dreams.
The last reason this name stood out to me is a very simple one – it’s what we are called to do by our Creator. Whether you are a believer or not, that’s okay, I believe you will still enjoy the content of this blog so please, stick around and be open to what I have to say. The Bible tells us multiple times to “Be strong and courageous…” (Deuteronomy 31:6-8), to “not be afraid…do not fear disgrace…” (Isaiah 54:4). It also states that we should ask for boldness to stand for what is right and to ask for guidance so that we are able to speak the right words in order to reach out to others (Acts 4:28-29 & Ephesians 6:19-20). There are several other areas of the Bible that we are encouraged to be bold and brave during times of trial in our lives (2 Corinthians 4:8-10), and lastly, whether you believe it or not, God has already given you these two gifts, you just need to find them in yourself and use those gifts for good (2 Timothy 1:7).
This blog has been weighing heavily on my heart for a long time now, and after being scared and overthinking this process, I am finally ready to share this with you! No matter our differences, or where you come from, I truly hope to change your life for the better by sharing my life story with you so that you can avoid the mistakes I’ve made, but most importantly, so that you can courageously live out your bold and brave life.
Cheers to a new you!
